CNN reports that National Association of Realtors Chief Economist, Lawrence Yen, predicts housing conditions could return to near normal and home prices firm up by mid-2010. The House passed the first time home buyer credit yesterday with a vote 403-12 vote. Obama is set to sign it into law as early as today. A few other measures included in the bill are lengthened unemployment benefits, additional tax refunds, and tax breaks specifically victims of the Madoff Ponzi Scheme. Click here for more.

Its been reported that there was agreement today between Democrats to extend the $8000 first time home buyer credit. There is also a possibility that it will be extended to all purchasers of a "Primary Residence"... click here for more
